Lab of Bio-perception & Intelligent Information Process of Chongqing University was established in 2013 and got funding from Chongqing university innovation team called Modern Signal Processing in 2013.With the ability to cultivate high-level scientific and technological talents, the laboratory has high-level academic leaders and has a scientific innovation team which has optimized structure, rigorous style of study, a strong sense of innovation and stable staff. There are 26 teachers now in the laboratory and there are 10 full professors (1 foreign professor, 1 New Century Excellent Talent, 1 nationally outstanding teacher, 1国家万人计划入选者, 1 chief scientist in Chongqing information manufacturing industries, 1 重庆市百名海外高层次人才集聚计划,1国家香江计划入选者, 4重庆大学百人计划, 8  PhD supervisors), 14 associate professors or senior engineers and 2 instructors in the 26 teachers. The laboratory dedicate to the research of bio-perception and related intelligent information processing technology in the crossed field of the electronic information science and the life science. Three research directions are included and they are bionic sense of smell, electrophysiological signals perception, biosensor and internet of things technology. The laboratory has scientific research instruments which are worth more than 10 million yuan and meet the needs of the research including gas chromatography/ mass spectrometry(Shimadzu Corporation), High-field asymmetric ion mobility spectrometer（U.K. Longstar）,IC layout design server, high-performance blade server, high-end digital oscilloscope, digital IC parameter tester, spectrum analyzer, vector network analyzer and other test instruments. On the other hand, software environments of some international corporations such as Cadence、Mentor Graphics、Synopsys、Altera、Xilinx are also offered which can provide corresponding standardization simulation model and support teaching 、research 、product design and manufacturing. The laboratory has undertaken/completed 59 technical service projects and its income reaches eleven million five hundred and seventy thousand yuan in total. Besides, 15 military technical service projects have been completed and 6.09 million yuan in total has been earned. It can be seen that well benefit in social and economic fields has been achieved. Except for that, the laboratory has applied for more than 20 national invention patents and has been given the rights of them among which five national invention patents and two utility model patents have been transferred. What’s more, hundreds of high level articles have been published by the laboratory. Currently the lab is trying to make the subject orientation more concise, optimize personnel structure, recruit outstanding and serious talents and strive to carry out original research work. At the same time, the lab strengthens the cooperation with international and domestic research institutions and industrial companies(especially in Chongqing) to transfer the research results into productive forces effectively and strives to promote the development of instrumentation manufacturing, integrated circuits, internet of things and other related industries.
